UST Global, an IT solutions and services company, has acquired Xpanxion, a global software services company along with their 50 plus clients and 500 employees across six global locations. Xpanxion will maintain its name and as a UST Global subsidiary, it will continue to operate as a key player in the industry. Together, UST Global and Xpanxion aspire to offer integrated teams that amalgamate the cost effectiveness of an offshore team with the communication and quality of a U.S.-based team.

The California headquartered UST Global, founded in 1998, strives for excellence in providing their clients with the best service and commitment to long-term client success. UST Global is a technology leader with profound domain expertise across various industries including telecommunications, healthcare & insurance, manufacturing & automotive and media & entertainment among others.

“By acquiring Xpanxion’s unique cross-sourcing model that leverages talents from across the globe with U.S.-based rural hubs, we aim to provide customers with cost-effective, secure, and collaborative solutions. This acquisition will enable UST Global to provide a complete range of quality software services for clients,” says Saurabh Ranjan, Managing Director of Global Operations, UST Global.

UST Global has acquired the professional services organizations of Xpanxion in Atlanta, GA, and Pune, India, as well as its rural technology centers in Kearney, NE; Loup City, NE; Ames, IA; and Manhattan, KS. The acquisition strategy utilizes the work ethic and quality of professionals in rural areas and the cost-effectiveness of resources overseas, enabling their clients to operate more efficiently, bring new products to market quickly, and ultimately achieve quality, cost, and business objectives.

Xpanxion’s current service offerings include cloud-based business application development, mobile application development, software testing services, and a full complement of technology and business consulting. The jobs brought on by the acquisition will range across many different areas including sales, marketing, account management, and product management. Clients can now rely on the combined expertise and experience of two companies that are the market leaders in business application development, mobile, and software testing services.

The acquisition will expand the delivery capabilities of both companies to better serve their current and future clients. Increased access to offshore development centers and skilled resources including QA analysts, business & technology consultants, and sales & marketing professionals will result in a larger overall global footprint for the two companies.

“Xpanxion focuses on developing its technology services in rural areas of the U.S., while UST Global recently launched its Step IT Up America program to focus on growing technology skills of minority women within inner cities. In doing so, these two companies have created innovative approaches to US-based workforce development. By merging their professional services programs, both companies will be able to harness and capitalize upon the successes and strengths of the other,” says Paul Eurek, CEO,Xpanxion.
